If you’re a new beekeeper, join us for our first class in our “now what” series. On May 27th, we’ll kick off our first class by discussing and donning protective gear, and lighting the smoker, then conducting a hive inspection on one of the hives at the shop. We’ll look for:
- Eggs, open brood, and capped brood
- Brood patterns
- Finding the queen
- Honey and pollen stores
Limit 6 participants per class. Class participants must bring their own protective equipment (veil, gloves, and long pants and sleeves). We will work an active bee hive with the possibility of stings.
Class begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. at the BZ Honey store, 405 E Main St., Tomball, TX 77375.
